MS. STELLA MARIE OMOGBAI

Stella-Marie Omogbai is an Executive Director at FSDH Merchant Bank, where she supervises the Corporate Banking, Energy and branches division of the bank. Additionally, she executive manages the specialized teams such as E-Channels, Value Chain, Agro Allied and Healthcare. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bank and the various Board Committees including the Board Risk and Credit Committee, the Board Finance and Strategy Committee of the Bank as well as the Executive Committee of the bank. She is also the Chairperson of FSDH Nominees, a subsidiary company.

She has approximately 30 years’ banking experience having worked in very senior management positions across several financial institutions including Magnum Trust Bank Limited now Sterling Bank, Access Bank, Lead Merchant Bank, UBA, and Ecobank, and Bank PHB/Keystone Bank. Stella has been instrumental to enhancing and deepening the business lines as the Corporate Banking and Energy and other businesses has grown tremendously under her commercial leadership at FSDH Merchant Bank, winning with innovation and recording several industry firsts (including the use of technology and echannels) in the process.

Ms. Omogbai is a graduate of the University of Benin and the Nigerian Law School. She has also obtained an MBA from the University of Wales (Holborn College), United Kingdom. She has participated in several senior management courses both locally and internationally including programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology “MIT” Sloan School of Business (Boston, USA), the Harvard Business School (Boston, USA), IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) London Business School (London, UK), and various Euromoney, IFC and CWC School for Energy trainings amongst others.

She is a Wimboard Africa Fellow; Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration (FICA); Life Associate, Women in Business and Management (WIMBIZ); Life Member, Chartered Institute of Directors (MCIOD); Honorary Member, Nigerian Institute of Bankers, (HCIB); Life Member, Association of Professional Women Bankers; Member, Women’s Global Leadership Network (Energy & Technology); Member, Women International Network (WIN) and Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) (MNIM). She is also an honorary Paul Harris Fellow (Rotary District 9140), Nigeria
