MRS. AINA OMOWUNMI AMAH
Aina Amah is a graduate of Economics from the University of Lagos. Holds an MBA from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus, Associate member, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), a Certified Global Management Accountant (AICPA) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria with over twenty years’ experience in the Financial Services sector of the Nigerian economy.
She started her banking career in 2003 with Resort Savings & Loans Limited where she rose to the position of Head of Operations. She left Resort Savings & Loans Limited in September 2007 to join United Mortgage Limited as the Pioneer Head of Internal Control Unit.
A position she held until January 2016 when the institution went through a change of business model to convert to a Commercial Bank with Regional authorization ProvidusBank Limited. She was redeployed in 2017 to the Internal Audit department and currently the Chief Audit Executive.
She was a member of the 2018 Dinner Planning Committee of APWB and was instrumental to bringing innovations to the structure of the association. She joined the Executive Committee of the association as the 2nd Assistant Honorary Secretary of the association from 2019 to 2021, and Financial Secretary from 2021 to 2023.
Represented APWB as a member of the CIBN Elections Rules & Standards Committee in 2022 which recommended the current e-voting and other innovations to the CIBN electoral process. She has a wealth of experience in Banking Operations, Financial Control, Treasury Operations, Internal Control/Internal Audit and Strategy.
She is currently the Chairperson of the Association of Chief Audit Executives of Bank in Nigeria.
